Welcome to Third Grade!
Hello and welcome to third grade! Your child’s education is a partnership between home and school, and we look forward to working with you. If you ever have a question or a concern, please send your child’s teacher an email, write a note, engage in a quick chat at dismissal, or call the school. The best way to get ahold of your child’s teacher is by email (guyot@appublicschools.com, kalis@appublicschools.com, warneck@appublicschools.com). The school’s phone number is 313-827 -1050.
Be sure to also check out our weekly blog so that you can stay apprised of the happenings in third grade. Our goal is to update on a weekly basis posting on weekends. We will send out an email with the link to the updated blog so you are reminded and can easily take a look. This blog also allows us to post helpful links, videos, and pictures.
We are excited to get to know each of our students, and we look forward to a wonderful year of growing together!

Reminders
- Arrival is 8:30am. Students will be marked tardy after 8:45am. Please remember to complete the COVID Screening Tool for Families each morning. Dismissal is at 3:30pm. If you are getting out of your car to pickup your child from school, please park a block or two away from the building in order to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
- Please place an extra mask in your child’s backpack. A fresh mask after gym or recess will come in handy.
- Students will have a snack each morning. If your child is participating, please send in only healthy options. Fruits and vegetables are a great choice! Please refrain from sending in anything with peanuts/tree nuts for snack as we have students with allergies.
